Page 1: Introduction

This survey is looking into the link between behaviour and emotion regulation in both child and parent. If you have a child aged 3 - 7 years old, you are invited to participate. This survey will help to develop a better understanding on how emotion regulation develops given that previous research suggests that emotion regulation may predict academic adaptation and performance as well as well-being.

This survey should take around 20 minutes to complete.

Participation is entirely voluntary. If you do not want to continue at any time point during the survey, you are free to terminate the survey without any consequences. If you choose "finish later", please come back and complete the survey at a later time point; otherwise, it would be considered as a withdrawal. You are also free to withdraw in 3 weeks after completion by sending an email without any names involved.

All data will be stored anonymously and confidentially. Only the researchers will have access to them. Information collected will only be used for research publication and education purposes. All records will be destroyed within 5 years after research publication. Ethical approval was obtained from the ethics committee in Nottingham Trent University.

If you have any questions about the survey feel free to contact me at lai-sang.iao@ntu.ac.uk
